Everybody Wayne Coyne Tonight

I was talking with a friend a couple of weeks ago about Wayne Coyne. Yes, Wayne is an odd bird. But, you have to respect the hell out of a guy who is known around the world and chooses to live in his hometown and in the shitty part of town. However, with all the drawbacks for living in a less-than-idealic the pluses are you get the property for cheap and you already have a shit-ton of money to fix the place up.

Anyhoo, Stereogum has some snap shots of Casa de Coyne and it's really more of a work of art than it is an actual house. The only part that sucks is they didn't show the spider lighting in the kitchen.

Mysplice 09

It's that time once again when to good folks over at Stereogum unleash their bastard pop hell on the rest of the world. Mysplice 4 is once again helmed by team9 as he mashes up the best indie from 09 with the best songs of days gone by. Right now, I'm diggin' the Doors vs. Bat For Lashes "Riders Sleep Alone" and Phoenix vs. The Cure "Phoenix Get Cured." Denton ex-pat Alan Palomo gets in on the action as his Neon Indian project gets mashed with the Pixies.

Check out the whole album below.

Mysplice 3

Yep, the good folks over at Stereogum have released their annual mashup collabo with Team9.  At first blush I wasn't to hot on it, but, then I got to listening to the tracks are there are a few really good ones.  "Lockdown Shelter" the Rolling Stones vs. Kanyain't is good, "Britney Get's Bloc-ed," "Debbie Does Montreal" and "Albert and Katy Sitting In A Tree" are also good.

So, you can download it for free here.
