A-Trak Makes Karen's Head Roll

It's not really hard to fuck up a song if it has Karen O's voice on it. You could probably have a garbage can as a drum and barking dogs for the backing vocals and as long as the lovely weirdness of Karen O is singing, it will probably be good.

A-Trak remixed Yeah Yeah Yeahs "Heads Will Roll" and turned it into a dance friendly, little electronic number.

You're Only a Zero To Karen O

It's only been the last year or so that I've really gotten into the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, but, I was really excited to hear their new song "Zero."  Karen O has one of the best rock voices around and I can't wait to hear the rest of the new album when it comes out.  If "Zero" is any indication of how it will sound, I think I'm gonna love it.

Musical Obsession

Yeah, so, I've been listening to "Down Boy" by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs quite a bit the last two weeks.  I'm not sure what it is about the song that gets me in the gut.  I like the loud/quiet part of the song, and I like thinking Karen O is telling me what to do.  And, it could also be about the energy of the loud parts.  But, overall, I think it's just the rockin' vibe the whole things gives out.  To me, it's the YYY's at their best.
