Welcome To The Remix

As the world waits patiently for Chinese Democracy to be unleashed in all of it's rock and roll fury at the end of the month, check out this remix of "Welcome To The Jungle."

It's not really a dance remix, it's more of a dance-rock remix...maybe.  I've only heard one of the new tracks from the long gestating album and it has some elements of Industrial rock that Axl supposedly wanted.  And this remix fits in kinda nicely with that sound.

Whomever remixed it did a pretty great job.  The opening guitar riff is used repetitively and quite well.  Some of the vocals are buried a little bit suggesting they sampled it straight from the recording and not from a DAT recording.  But, I still dig it none the less.

GNR "Chinese Democracy"

So, we all know now that Chinese Democracy is finally coming out, right?  But, what are you more excited about: new GNR or free Dr. Pepper?

I know, I know, you are still curious about what the album is going to sound like.  Well, BFD is here to soothe your savage heart.  Click here for a stream of the title track.  I kept hearing that Axl had gone Industrial, and there are some similar stylings on this track.  But, it's really more of a crunchy guitar that reminds me of Grunge.  Either way, it's actually a pretty stunning track.

Recession Ender

So it seems that Guns N' Roses long awaited Chinese Democracy will finally see the light of day according to Billboard. The record is coming out on November 23, which is a Sunday, and will be available at Best Buy--only at Best Buy.

With it taking 15 years for this album to come out I would imagine there are enough people who were fans of them, and enough people who have discovered them and become fans to go out and buy this album and single handedly bring our country out of it's financial crisis. But, then Dr. Pepper will go out of business because they have to give every American a free can of DP. So, there's that.
I am excited to hear what the new record sounds like. I've been a fan since I was a young rebellious youth and it should be good. But, what happens if it sucks? That alone should set enough people of to riot and loot.

Robin Finck Leave GNR Returns To NIN

It seems that Mr. W. Axl Rose actually doesn't have to fire band members for them to leave the band. Buckethead left a couple of years ago. Now his latest hired Gun (get it?) to leave is Robin Finck who has gone back Trent Reznor's revised version of his Nine Inch Nails touring band.

But, apparently W.A.R. was the last to know Finck left because he is in the middle of "negotiations" to release Chinese Democracy.

Ol' Axl, when will he learn? People really just want to see you rock out with Duff, Slash, Izzy and Matt Sorum (sorry Steven). (Rock & Roll Daily)

Axl Brings The Noize

Apparently now that W. Axl Rose is out of hiding and not being a waste of ammo, he's debuting 6 new GNR songs for music honchos and big-wigs. Hey, lets get that album out okay? (Rock & Roll Daily)

Axl Rose Responds To Dr. Pepper

It's good to see that Axl has a good attitude now that he's getting up there in age.  Unlike when he wanted to fight Kurt Cobain at the MTV Video Awards for joking around with him.

But, he released a statement regarding the Dr. Pepper Chinese Democracy Challenge.  Not only did he acknowledge that Buckethead still has some songs credited to him on the new album.  But, he even said he'd share his DP with him.  Awwww, what an old softy.  However, Slash has to fend for himself.

Free Dr. Pepper!

I loves me some Dr. Pepper. And the good people over at DP have announced that if Chinese Democracy does not come out by the end of 2008; every man woman and child a FREE Dr. Pepper.

"It took a little patience to perfect Dr Pepper's special mix of 23 ingredients, which our fans have come to know and love," Dr Pepper director of marketing Jaxie Alt says. "So we completely understand and empathize with Axl's quest for perfection -- for something more than the average album. We know once it's released, people will refer to it as 'Dr Pepper for the ears' because it will be such a refreshing blend of rich, bold sounds - an instant classic."

But, I'm sure Axl is ready to release the album right now. But, probably not. So, you can pretty much count on getting a free one. (Billboard)
