So, I was-a-pokin' around yesterday on Stereogum and they started up a brand new feature called "Decomposed." Think of it as Unplugged for the Indie crowd. Anyhoo, their first guest was School of Seven Bells who released one of the best albums this year, Alphinisms.
The band is an odd choice for this project since it's supposed to play stripped down versions of their songs...which could be kind of difficult for a band that relies heavily on electronics. But, SVIIB pulled it off quite nicely. The dual voices of the Dehaza sisters are supurb and shows they aren't in need of studio magic to sound good.
