Ryan Adams at The Gypsy Tearoom

I came across this little gem today, Ryan Adams live at the old Gypsy Tearoom, June 17, 2005.  I haven't been able to listen to it all yet, but, the quality is fantastic.  If it's not off the soundboard, then, it's by someone who really knows how to make a bootleg recording.  I was hoping this is the show where he got pissed and stormed off the stage because of the crowd noise.  But, I don't think it is.

You can listen to the show on the player below.  If you wish, you can download it here.

Setlist:

Love Is Hell

I'm 99% sure this is the show you're thinking of - the one where he walked off mid show.

I was there, and he was cranking through songs at the beginning, but it was loud as sh*t - people were talking through everything and being antagonizing, so he walked off for a break, hoping things would calm down. Then he came back on - wearing one of his own merch shirts - and did a version of "Come Pick Me Up" unplugged by the bar. Only 50 people or so could hear it, which pissed everyone off more.

I think he also took a swipe at Rhett Miller and/or the Old 97s during the Texas Texas Texas thing.

Yeah, as loud as the crowd voices could get at the old Tearoom I still miss that place. I know it's the Door now, but, I miss the Tearoom. I saw a bunch of good shows there.
