Under The Cover

Despite being a big fan of all variations of Brit-pop growing up I never really got into XTC.  The only song I ever really knew of theirs was "The Ballad of Peter Pumpkinhead" and more recently "Making Plans For Nigel."

So, it was quite a treat when one of my favorite bands covered a song by a band I'm not familiar in love with, but know the song at least.  I really can't get enough of the Headlights.  To me it doesn't matter if Tristan or Erin is singing, either way their music is top notch.

Oh, and their coming back to DFWd...only this time their playing Lola's in March on their way to SXSW.  I saw them at The Cavern last year open up for The Evangelicals.  It was nice to see the band up close.

Until today the only Peter Pumpkinhead version I knew was the Crash Test Dummies cover version.
