Under The Cover

It's not a big surprise when a Cat Power cover song hits the web, they are pretty much her bread-and-butter, man.  She usually does a pretty good job of reinterpreting other artists songs, but for her reimagining of Oasis' classic "Wonderwall" I have to give the win to Ryan Adams.

Sounds like she didn't think it out past the first two verses. It's going well, then....pass on the first chorus....then when she does finally hit it, it sounds unsure...

I'd bet this was the second time she's played it. Once to figure out she had a feel in mind, and then this version without thinking it out to "keep it fresh."

I think you're right... she does sound a little hesitant.

I love that hesitation to be honest. It gives it a tortured feel and is quite apt for a Cat Power song.

thanks for sharing.
