If you didn't know any better you would think Black Joe Lewis came from a time machine built in the old Stax studios. He caught a lot of buzz during his recent shows at SXSW and it's totally deserved.His sound mixes with some jump-type blues/funk of "Gunpowder" to the Otis Redding Stax sound on the song "You Don't Love".
