Ever since I started really getting into music I thought it would be super sweet to have a music festival in Oklahoma, my native state. I now live a little south of there in Texas. Now, last year my home state completely embarrassed me by starting "Rocklahoma," the ultimate festival for anyone stuck on 80's hair metal rock.
We Okies have a lot to be proud of. Jim Thorpe, Mickey Mantle, Johnny Bench, Barry Sanders, Adrian Peterson, Troy Aikman, Vince Gill, Reba, The Flaming Lips and indian casino style gaming. However, Rocklahoma is as much of an embarrassment to the state as Color Me Badd. But, given the fact they do not care what I think, they went ahead and announced the 2008 line-up. Brett Michaels, face time!
